We inaugurated the school year by bringing together all of Beacon’s administrative, operational, and educational teams to kick off 2022, before the start of classes.
After a brief speech by the Board of Directors, who talked about the school growth and expansion, as well as the challenges and news for the year, we welcomed lecturer Vinicius Kitahara, who holds a degree in Business Administration from Insper, and is certified in the “Happiness at Work” program at UC Berkeley.
The theme of the lecture was “Felicidade em pauta“. Issues such as mental health and how much the balance between personal and professional life, allied to the pursuit of purpose, affect our performance, were some of the questions approached.
Sharing the same opinion as Vinicius, we understand that what contributes to a good work environment, and what makes us happy, is mainly the good relationships we establish. It’s the ability to connect with others. Definitely, an essential value for Beacon as well.
Pursuing happiness is something that must exist in every single moment, in everyday situations. It is something that we can and must carry out.
At the end of the lecture everyone shared the same feeling, which boils down to living a new year filled with happiness, good relationships and connections among our colleagues, families, and students.
