Winter Camp 2021

Traditionally, Beacon offers a vacation program in July for families who wish to enroll their children in sporting, relaxed activities and guaranteed fun.

This year, Winter Camp 2021 was held at both Beacon Villa and Beacon Campus, with children ranging from G2 to Y4 (2 to 10 years old).

At Villa, the kids were welcomed by the pedagogical team and also by the Child Development Assistants (ADIs), who prepared the school with spaces that encouraged exploration and investigation. The children were invited to many activities over the course of two weeks, besides having more opportunities to socialize with other children, which they were deprived of during the most critical period of the pandemic.

Capoeira, music, sports, and dance classes were taught by expert teachers who carefully tailored the proposals to each age group. In addition, the children participated in gardening by planting aromatic herbs to take home, painting with watercolor on canvas, and watched a musical storytelling show by the duo “Canto e Encanto“.

On Campus, the students participated in classes of many sports such as judo, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and others. The circus teachers challenged their balance and strength, offering support and encouragement to develop motor skills and self-confidence.

In art class, they decorated mugs to carry the cakes they made in cooking class. They also watched a magic show and even learned a few tricks. But the highlight was, certainly, the tyrolese. Assembled by the school’s Optional Activities team and also by the Operational team, the zip line provided moments of adventure and lots of fun for the kids!
